Last night as my friend Amanda spoke of the needs of Chinese orphans, I was once again struck with this sense of being called to do what I can to help orphans find their forever families.  This is what they need!  Children can be well loved and well cared for in foster families and even in some orphanages, but they don't have the connection and security of a family.

This time, I want to be sure to not let this calling be set aside due to the busy-ness of life.  I want to earnestly seek God's face in this and see where he may lead.  Nathan has such a heart to help kids, that I see God calling US to this avenue of ministry.  I want to commit to praying daily for:

• people to come forward and open their hearts to adoption
• protection for the orphaned and vulnerable
• physical protection
• protection of their heart, that the transition into a family can be as easy as possible
• a way to help people understand the orphaned children don't need programs - they need families.
• direction as to how God wants me to be involved.
